DRIVEWAYS
Your driveway is often the first impression when people are entering your property. Make it great with concrete. We can take care of the ground prep, boxing, concrete placing and cutting of your driveway.
We recommend adding some charcoal colour to take the glare of standard (white) concrete.
Driveways can be almost any colour you can think of, stones can be exposed. We can acid etch, seal and do decorative cutting.
We can also place paths, patios and mowing strips alongside your driveway.
Concrete Cutting
Concrete cutting to a depth of 230mm for kerbs, crossings, foundations, forecourts and demolition. Compliant health and safety standards and documentation, site management, water supply trailer and wet vacuum.

CONCRETE COATINGS
Permacolour Cemcote is designed to provide a tough, economical coating for direct application onto new or existing horizontal concrete masonry surfaces. Permacolour Cemcote will enhance drab or worn out surfaces efficiently and is excellent for recolouring concrete surfaces that have been damaged by rain or have not turned out as expected. Commonly used on floor surfaces including basements and garage floors, footpaths, patios, pavers and driveways. Please note: Badly damaged concrete will need to be repaired before coating otherwise the rough damaged texture will mirror through the applied coating.

FAQ's
Can I colour my concrete?
We recommend adding a black oxide to your concrete. This will take away the white glare that you get from standard concrete. Oxide is usually added at 5kgs – 10kgs per m3 of concrete and generally only increases your m2 rate by about $6-$12 per m2. Specialty colours can also be added which you can check out at www.peterfell.co.nz
What is exposed aggregate?
Exposed aggregate concrete is a finish achieved by laying a concrete and applying a “surface retarder” to the concrete once placement has been finished which prevents the top 3mm or so from setting. This exposes the top of the aggregate/stone. Find your stone at www.firth.co.nz
What is acid etch?
Acid washing and etching is a hydrochloric acid and water mix which will clean or remove some of the top layer of the concrete. It can be used to even finish the concrete and can take it back to a more salt & pepper finish.
What is concrete sealer?
Concrete sealers are applied to concrete to protect it from surface damage, corrosion, and staining. Concrete must be acid washed prior to sealing. It is recommended that you reapply sealer every 2-5 years. There is a dry look sealer or the standard sealer will darken the look of your concrete. Stain colours can also be added to your sealer. www.permacolour.co.nz
